I think people are forgetting the intent of this statement. It is being treated as a broad doctrinal statement, but I thought it was just dealing with the non-negotiables that we with varied Christian beleifs can and should rally around. However, there may be some nuances of the statement I am overlooking, but I can tell you that I am not looking to Steve Camp to have them pointed out.
I’m with you. I think the statement is a very healthy contemmporary expression allowing us to clearly communicate the boundaries to which we can set for enjoying cooperative, Gospel centred ministry. The statement confirms why our church is not participating in an upcoming community evangelistic event. It also confirms why we will be partnering with some others in some upcoming ministry endeavors.
