Dr. Danny Akin of Southeastern Seminary writes a pointed and needy letter to the students of his institution. Sounds like good blog advice as well.

The man is good but I think he is a Calvinist in disguise. I would totally agree with what he says about the wording of the five points, they are regrettably un helpful at times and counter productive but I think the heart of the doctrine he whole heartedly agrees with but says what he says so that the non-Calvies will not jump on him right away. I you fail to see that what he said and what the five points are really saying then you probably didn’t understand them. He is right down the line he just prefers more careful language which I totally agree with. I say the same thing he said but I still call myself a Calvinist because its true, but I like to reword the names of the points because they really are a misnomer and make conversation difficult. 🙂
