I am not too sure about outsourcing. Outsourcing has benefits, but it also has a downside. For small things it is nice and cheap, but think of how big companies use outsourcing and lay off about half of the company’s employees.
How would you feel if your job was being outsourced to another country because it saved the company money? Sounds like we love money more than we love people.
I am not saying that all outsourcing is bad. We all do it to a certain extent. For example, have you ever had your oil change, your car washed, your yard mowed by someone other than yourself. If you have, you just outsourced. Outsourcing saved you time and, in a sense, money!
But think about how outsourcing affects people in our country? Outsourcing makes the job market that much more competitive and has lead to (I think) a great deal of our country’s financial instability because our money is going out of the country.
From my own perspective, outsourcing makes me uncomfortable because the higher up I go in the tech world the more likely my job is to be outsourced. This means that I not only need to have a great grasp of my field of work, but also about the same amount of knowledge for 10 other fields to stay competitive. Obviously God is in control, and everything that happens to me is for my good because He loves me.
I actually wrote a paper about outsourcing if you are interested in reading it.
