Tim Ferriss responds to a recent critic and in doing so, gives some excellent comments on time management and lowering the barrage of information overload. I especially liked his suggestion and visual of how The Four Hour Workweek, GTD and Franklin Covey can be combined.
Very interesting reading. In my experience as a time management coach one thing has become very clear. Each person I coach ends up using a unique combination of tools and techniques. I suggest there is no “good” or “bad” in all the time management books and products that are available. What is important is trying something to see if it works for you. I love the 4 hour work week. For most or my clients it is too much of a stretch. GTD is a popular starting point, though I often get feedback that people can’t maintain it. There are other simple time management tools that I use (you can get these free on the forms page on my website).
