Without my comment, watch this one first:
Then watch this one (it’s long and has more issues – but you will see the related material):
From his own statements, what do you think? Are fundamentalists picking on small issues here? Is this the most helpful way to both speak to Scripture truth and reach out to the homosexual community? Is Rick pursuing a path on this issue that should be modeled? What should we think from one of the most visible professing Chrisitans and pastors in America?
Compare to this pastor in Iowa:

Hmmmm…..I think my first impression on these videos is this:
1) Rick Warren believes in the "biblical" stand against homosexuality (hiding behind all religions & society's traditions) but cares more about what society thinks of him and the yearning to be accepted and loved through them. Maybe it's for the Glory of Christ? Maybe it's for the glory of himself? Who knows truly his intentions or motives except God. But from what I can see in those videos, he seems to leave out biblical truth as to not seem offensive.
2) Eric Schmacher's motives seem to be the opposite: pleasing God rather than man through biblical truths. By the way, his demeanor seemed so loving when he spoke to the cameras.
*The most loving thing we could do is to preach the Gospel of Christ. We can still show outwardly love by being kind, hospitable, warm and genuine, especially towards homosexuals. But we must never waiver on the Truth. Most people, who do not agree with that or do not want to humble themselves to it, will always reject it, become hard-hearted to it, misconstrue it and will almost always put you down for it or show in you in bad light because of it. If you strive to please God you will always be displeasing man.

Oh, I forgot to say, that Eric Schumacher's article is very well written and is great!
