Big adventure has begun early this morning-details to come. # No news yet…much drama-no news. # Well-the adventure continues-we are in Day 2-not sure what is happening. # Praying, reading, preparing, waiting-The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice (Ps 97:1). # Pt 1-At court for Liz’s final hearing-the court plans to drop the dependency and the kids will likely be moved to Arkansas tomorrow. # Pt 2-we have been asked to adopt twins who have yet to be born. We anticipated it this weekend, but much uncertainty exists in the situation # We saw Liz and Jade for the last time-they were in court. It was over quickly. Thankfully, the kids looked well. While sad we are satisfied. # Time to pray, read the word and set my mind on things above. # To the office-much administration to do-the stress mounts. # At my desk-piles of files and paper are now organized for the day – working through the list of a thousand things. # Now to the piled up e-mail-this could take awhile-but I vow to be done with it before the day is out. # Just finished responding to 81 e-mail I had marked for follow-up. Now on to the finances. # finished finances-had lunch-watched Meet the Press-read a few blogs-now back to work, task list time! # Made some good headway on a number of projects-now to head home and enjoy the family. # Great time playing with the girls tonight-so fun to laugh with them. They are out, I’ve been working on a blog post-time for me to be out. # Enjoying the quiet of...

I was doing so well ““ that is blogging much more regularly. However, the past three weeks have been a most busy time at the Capranica Villa. In addition to a week of vacation, the rigors of normal ministry and family life, we have had little added activity around here. I changed over [well, really my good friend Chad did the heavy lifting] THE CAPRANICA to its own domain name. There is still a bit to do to get everything working perfectly, but it is done and I’m very pleased with it. WordPress is such a great blogging platform. I also taught a seminar recently at our Association’s Equipped for Excellence Sunday School conference. The seminar was entitled, “How to Plan the Work of Your Church” (it was assigned to me). I enjoyed the prep for this five hour workshop. We discussed how to effectively implement your philosophy of ministry, organize around it and execute it well. I don’t think I do this as well as I like, but I thoroughly enjoyed the preparation, teaching, and discussion ““ and it is an area for constant personal and ministry growth. In order to be finished on time with the 50 page handout for 30 people, the power-point and my notes, I had to pull an all-nighter-I don’t do these as well as I used to and the effects tend to linger a bit longer. I’ve also begun teaching a new class at church on Baptist History and Theology. This has been a great time of study and review for me ““ reminding me of the biblical nature and the historical...

Slamming coffee and doing Final prep for my seminar today at Equipped for Excellence. # Out the door headed to Riverside for Equiiped for Excellence. # Enjoyed EforE today-very engaged group. I hope they were encouraged and helped. Now I’m wiped out. I think I will do nothing for awhile. # Final prep for this morning-thinking I need the coffee through an IV-would take effect more quickly. # Headed to church-looking forward to the day. # RT: @LeoLaporte: Video: Noteboek on Vimeo (via Vimeo) http://tumblr.com/xxz1nqsdt – This is great! # Just read through Justin’s sermon for tonight-looking forward to it. Now doing some planning for the week ahead. # Reading Total Church by Chester and Timmis. # Justin preached really well tonight and Gabe led the singing equally well. I’m so thankful for these two men-I’m honored to work with them. # Let the day begin! # Time to study for my Baptist history and theology class I’m teaching on Wednesday: the English Baptists this week. # Off to the office for Pastors’ meetings and a day of administration. # What a long day – waiting to spend some time with my bride! # Had a great time out with Kel-enjoyed a slow, easy, uninterupted time to talk. It would be nice to have an uninterupted night of sleep now. # A very long and very emotional day has begun-to the word and prayer! # Headed out to see Liz-may be our last time. Can’t wait to see her. # Rough morning, but gladness of heart for the ultimate goodness of God’s sovereignty. # About to sip Statbucks and...

Wow-long day of foster parent training-great time with some family tonight at dinner-now at the hotel to get the girls to bed-exhausted! # Home-unpacked and ready for bed. Vacation is OVER. We had such an encouraging day today with friends we’ve not seen in 7 years. LOVED today. # RT @edstetzer: Talking church planting in Orlando: The typical church plant is under 100 in attendance after 4 years. http://is.gd/ts3h # Time to focus my heart on the Lord through his word and prayer-then prep for the day. # Just finished a very long but hopefully profitable meeting. Now out the door with the family for a bit. # the blog is experiencing a few difficulties tonight. Will try and repair tomorrow. Hmm. # All (and @karalpeters and @12hourhalfday) Don’t know what the problem was – try this: http://is.gd/tBrV # About to imbibe some French Roast and God’s Word. Prayer through all of it-most refreshing! # handling a HUGE backlog of e-mail and phone, correspondence, and phone calls this morning! # Now handling financial administration. Definitely not my first love, but necessary. # on a conference call with area pastors. # Finished a great conference call, now off to have lunch with a potential church planter in our area. # Great lunch on church planting, also met a missionary to Chile-then an evangelistic conversation (went so well!), then skype with kel & kids # Headed to a mandatory foster patent training-I’d prefer to go home and do the parent thing rather than go talk about it, however … # Home- bed # Preparing for a venti dose of Scripture, prayer...
