Preparing for a day of ministry. Teach SS at San Jac, preaching at Valle Vista Baptist this AM choir and preaching at San Jac in the PM. # Up way too early yesterday-stayed up way too late last night-making for a morning that feels like moving in molassas. I hate molassas. # off to choir rehearsal. # Home from a long day-full of ministry. Now at home for another phase of ministry-helping a crying daughter go to bed. # Rise and shine-lot’s to do today in terms of study. Been a bit under the weather for a few: looking brighter today. Much prayer & Scripture meditation needed to maintain a cross-focused heart # Enjoyed prayer with the Sunday School class today. Thankful for a group that is so thankful in a gospel-centered way. # Enjoyed the evening of prayer and meditation on the word. We have a people who want to and love to pray for their pastors. # Prayer and the word. Necessities to keep my heart joyful in the Lord. # Unless he move mightily in me, no inward fire will be kindled. VofV. # Talk about extremes-100 degrees one week-45 degrees this morning. We should be back toward 100 by the end of the month. # To the gym! # An all day meeting followed by all afternoon phone calls and now an evening choir rehearsal. Pray I last until 8. # Late night-early morning. Imbibing the Baptist drug of choice (coffee) and begging for sustaining help for the day’s activities. # Up and at’em-coffee, the Word, prayer, reading. Just had a great visit with Pops and Leefy (Kel’s parents). Need a Saturday afternoon nap-except I never take one. Time for new habits? # In much prayer this morning ahead of not only a full Lord’s Day but a full week ahead. More than I can handle-right where God wants me. # Good day with God’s people so far. Now for a VERY short nap. # Enjoyed the evening of service and worship. Ready to put some kids to bed and relax a bit. Who gave Emi the candy tonight-she’s crazy. # Checking the headlines and submerging my heart in the word and prayer. Expecting significant things today. # Some time in prayer and final prep to teach at CBU today on “Pastoring through Preaching.” Convicting and stimulating to think through # Good day: a little office work, conference call w/ area pastors, CBU class on preaching & coming home to play with the kids. Went for a run this morning. I hate running. But, it does get the blood flowing. Now to get the coffee flowing. Weekly planning time. # About to teach my section of our membership class: what the church should expect from members. Always fun. # Up to pray for our gathering together with the Lord’s People on His day.
